A Portable AC for the Warmer Months

This is how a portable AC saved me. Springtime and summer brings out the sun, sand and sports. It's the time to get outside and enjoy the weather and nothing is as enjoyable as watching your favorite sporting events live. Whether it's baseball, football, tennis or any other sport, outdoor sports always bring out the best in summer. Unfortunately, it also brings out the worst, which sometimes could mean unbearable heat.

I'm a sports event coordinator and sometimes the most difficult thing to deal with in sporting events outdoors is the heat. Of course indoor games are no problem, but the outdoor events are especially difficult. Mostly my concern is if it's going to rain mainly because if it does, there's nothing I can do to stop it. Depending on the rain, we either play through it or announce a rain out if conditions worsen.

Personally, though, what's more irritating is the heat in outdoor games in summer. Rain-outs happen, and you can't do anything about them in outdoor areas, but in hot weather, the game goes on and you're left melting in your own skin sometimes. The players are, of course, suffering, but more than that, it's the crowd that suffers because of the heat.

Luckily, there's finally something we can do about the heat, and we're not talking about the basketball team in Miami. A portable AC is a great way to keep the crowd cool while a sporting event is in progress outside. This works especially well in summer when the weather can turn from mild to hot in a matter of hours, depending where you are.

Portable air conditioners like the ones that Carrier rents out are a great way to keep your audience from causing a riot when longtime rivals come in to play your team.

They have a lot of sizes to choose from so there's always an option for any event, whether small or large. It's a great advantage to have the ability to control your climate during summer while at the same time have the benefit of attending an outdoor game. It's really the best of both worlds.
